With an understanding of either a high level basic blue sky idea or a detailed product specification we can generate speedy conceptual designs (hand sketches, Adobe Photoshop images, simple 3D CAD Renderings – Autodesk Inventor Fusion).
This providing an overall feel for fit, form and function, features, styling, ball park costs and first order analysis / critique.
Following on from agreed concept design(s), we can derive a fully engineered solution producing detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings (Autodesk Inventor).
Engineering Design validation we would confirm through the use of rigorous analysis tools including, FEA (Finite Element Analysis - Structural, Modal, Thermal), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), DFM/A (Design For Manufacture / Assembly) and Geometrical Tolerance Analysis.
With this well rounded Engineering toolkit within our folio, we can develop, functional, robust, efficient and aesthetic products.
We have in house rapid prototype capability including both SLA and FDM processes for parts up to 246 L x 152 W x 155 H mm (FDM) and 145 L × 145 W × 175 H mm (SLA). For parts greater than this we work closely with a number of external rapid prototyping companies.
Together with the above and with our close relationships with local machining and fabrication companies we are able to generate either aesthetic only or fully functional prototype models or low volume manufacture finished products.
